There’s nothing like going “home.” A few days ago, I had the joy of face painting at my alma mater Marist High School for their annual Carnival, and it felt like stepping into a time capsule (with a kit full of paints and glitter).

Setting the Scene

The field buzzed with music, food, rides and that perfect end-of-school-year energy. I set up near the main flow, close enough for easy access, far enough to keep lines moving. My table was stocked with:

  • Skin-safe, water-activated paints

  • Cosmetic-grade glitter & gems

  • Alcohol wipes, brush baths, and sponges

  • A mini design board (fast picks for busy lines + premium options) Shout out to Faelynn of Lynxx Entertainment for the idea!

  • Crowd favorites were tigers, butterflies, florals and super hero masks. Special thanks to my boyfriend, Kendrick, for getting in on the action!

    Best Moments

Parents appreciated the hygiene protocols; kids loved seeing themselves transform in the mirror. Win-win.

    Why I Loved It

Painting at Marist wasn’t just a gig, it was a full-circle moment. Creativity, community, and a line of kids eager to become their favorite character for the day remind me why I love this work.

    Thank You

Huge thanks to the Marist High School team for the invitation and the smooth logistics, and to every student and family who stopped by my chair. If you’re planning a school carnival, field day, or community fair and want high-volume, camera-ready face painting with professional hygiene standards, I’d love to help bring the magic.
